About

Laura Weetzie Wilson

is a Chicago based makeup artist and hair stylist thrilled about her work. Theatrically trained in costuming from West Virginia University, she has apprenticed at Steppenwolf Theatre Company and worked at Goodman Theatre Company, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and many more.

Laura's love of makeup and hairstyling began early. She put together her first kit at just 13 years old and began offering her services to her friends' older sisters for prom. Her passion grew, combining with her love for period costuming. Pinup photography was an obvious obsession and, upon moving to Chicago, she joined forces with Ashlee Dean Wells and started Windy City Pinup, Chicago's premier pinup and boudoir photography studio.

While working together, Ashlee founded 4th Trimester Bodies Project, a photo documentary celebrating the uncensored beauty of motherhood and the changes brought on from postpartum, childbirth, adoption, and breastfeeding. Laura and Ashlee traveled the world capturing photos and stories of women and people embracing who they are now that children have graced their lives. Laura has had the pleasure of offering her hair and makeup services to over 1,500 participants.

Laura wants every person who sits in her chair to feel naturally beautiful, pampered, and as excited about their look as she is about creating it. She strives to foster a relaxed, body positive, feminist space where you can feel your most comfortable. Get ready for hugs and high fives, because this lady can't wait to meet you!
